Got "Candide" on DVD...Leonard Berstein was a FUCKING GENIUS. |
|
Now got "Candide," "Sweeny Todd," "The King and I," "The Music Man," ...
Genius. Bernstein, Sondheim, Rogers, Hammerstein I could keep going....
and STOP at Andrew Lloyd Webber. "Phantom" my ass.
In my version of Hell, Webber is handcuffed to a seat in an eternal ABBA concert.

I didnt know it was on DVD - is it a recording of the original Broadway production?
I got the CD recording of that about 10 years ago. Just awesome work. "Best of all possible worlds" is just genius.
And if you liked this, I highly recommend his Mass also.
