You could have unclaimed property |
|
Money that's rightfully yours could be sitting forgotten, in the government's control. It could be anything from a long-dormant bank account to a forgotten utility deposit or family heirloom in an abandoned safe deposit box. http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=resources&id=3296491

seriously, a big thank you for posting this. I had no idea that account was there. I've requested the forms from the state of Wisconsin to claim it.

9. thank you so much BikeWriter! |

I found out that my family has 6 articles of unclaimed property! Don't know why the mail wasn't delivered, as the address they had was correct at the time, but I have now moved, and the mail wasn't forwarded. I spoke to the proper department today, and they told me how to go about claiming it. Its going to be very involved, but at least I now know where a particular missing refund is!!! Didn't even know about the other things! THANK YOU!!

18. Some states are slow to process claims, but this does work. |
|
I'm currently waiting on a check from an old insurance settlement check I never cashed in California. It's about $350 or so. Not a huge amount, but it's something that was just sitting out there.
