It isn't anti-left to have arms. It's anti-left to assume they make you a big badass tough guy.

5. You mean the choice of clean-cut, American boys' parents. |
|
The choice of the actual boys is probably real rifles.
So who goes shooting in a shirt and tie?

10. You just triggered an epipheny! |
|
The trouble with gun owners today is that they don't wear a shirt and tie when they go target shooting and hunting! I say it's time to bring back the clean-cut, alert, well-dressed, American gun-owner!

...because I don't want to get GSR on my good clothes. Unlike James Bond, the government is not paying my drycleaning bills.

16. My sister did one of the dumbest things |
|
I've ever seen a human do when we were target shooting in the back yard with my Daisy. She must've been 11, since I think I was 9 when I got it, so she should've known better.
Dad had set up a target box against the fence, and one day my sister was getting ready to shoot. The action was cocked, and for some reason she put her eye up to the muzzle and looked down the barrel! Dad and I hollered "GINNY!" at the same time and she lowered the rifle.
Forty years have gone by since. I should ask her sometime what the hell she was thinking. :eyes:

I also think that they require training and a controlled environment. I also would never own one personally.

24. Advertising from that era was cheesy, period... |
|
I have a bunch of Popular Mechanics from the twenties through the forties, and a lot of the ads are like that. For washing machines, cars, shirts, cigarettes, beverages, household items, etc. etc.
BB guns are still immensely popular today (my 5 y.o. daughter will be getting one soon, my 7 y.o. son already has one), but I dare say the advertising has improved immensely... :D
