Poll question: Favorite Family Guy character!
Please show your work, in the form of "I love __________ because....."

People who vote for Meg: I suspect that you have Jan Brady Syndrome; "I love Meg because I was the ignored person in my family, and my school life stunk, and I was plain and unloved...." You folks are exempt from showing your work. We understand. Just vote.

Peter:

Lois:

Brian:

Meg:

Chris:

Stewie:

Quagmire:

6. I like the news team.
Diane Simmons: Our top story tonight, I have been cast as the lead in the Quahog Players' production of The King And I.
Tom Tucker: In other news, I won't be going to the play because I'm sure it will be lousy.
Diane Simmons: This just in: Tom, you're such a closet case.
Tom Tucker: We now go live to Diane being a bitch. Diane?

8. Brian is a champion
He went to Brown University and drives what looks like a Prius with a Dennis Kucinich sticker on it. Even if he weren't funny at all he would have to be the best character.

10. I hate to say it, but I think FG has jumped the shark
The last few episodes have not been very good.

Maybe it's just a dry spell.

Right now I'm actually enjoying "American Dad" more than "Family Guy".

11. The show, uh, petered out, in season 3.
Seasons 1 and 2 were rather better and comparatively tasteful...

A few good moments, but surrounded by empty vulgar filth.

They could learn from "The War at Home"; a comparatively well written show that's also filthy; well written because it doesn't rely on esoteric, arcane, or otherwise pre-existing knowledge.

Too bad Loretta doesn't allow white literature in our household.

19. Stewie and Brian . . . what a choice. . . . I voted Brian, but honorable
mention goes to anyone that would speak the line "ya know, perhaps you should worry a little less about your pride, and more about the creepy crawlies shawshanking their way out of your balloon knot."
