Link between Cancer rate and Hormones and Pestcides in Food?

Does anyone believe that the Cancer rate is so high these days is linked to the fact that hormones and pesticides are put in the food these days? It just seems to me that since people are eating all types of food that all have hormones and pesticides that this is what is causing the high Cancer rate. Also, I heard a speech from a woman who said that the cow that are injected with hormones get ovarian cancer and I think she said the male cows get prostate cancer.

1. Cancer linked to food? Yes, but in more ways than that.

A good deal of cancer can be linked to the pesticides and hormones (and goddess only knows what else) in our food. In addition, our diet, heavy in animal products (meat, dairy, eggs) plays a huge role in it as well.

As for the cows getting cancer, that's a new one to me. Most of them don't live that long, being slaughtered well beforehand. I'd also be surprised to find that they'd bother to test for such maladies.
