No that the DC Council has rejected the stadium lease, baseball in DC is looking pretty grim. I didn't mean this thread to start a war over public subsidizing of stadiums, but just curious what baseball fans think will happen

The Congresscritters love their perks, and a DC ballteam is one of them. Watch for a resolution creating a "National Stadium" and floor speeches about "America's pasttime."

I'm thinkin they will start looking back to Virginia...Tim Kaine already said they thought something could be worked out...but Vegas is flush with cash, and the Marlins just got the stop sign from MLB to keep them from goin there. Speculation they are reserving it for the Nats franchise
