He left me a message this morning.

The correct answer is...
"I got called out of town again and nothing got done." At least that's what he said.

We're still in the running, but of course we're looking at other properties and applying for good ones -- just like a job search. Should we end up getting accepted at another apartment (and we're not going to apply for any place we wouldn't want to live, but it's likely we won't like the apartment as much), I'll call him and ask him in so many words to shit or get off the pot (in which case he'll probably get off the pot and tell us to take the other apartment).

1. I know some people don't like renting ot people with pets...

but get this...

my inlaws rent out apts...I am not sure about their policy regarding pets...but one of their tenant decided to put in a fishtank...not just any fishtank...this beast was huge and it weighed so much when filled with water that it actually cracked the ceiling of the apartment below...

So a lightweight cat...that doesn't seem so bad...
