79. Sorry, that's impossible
Hendrix was a better player than Stevie Ray, something even SRV admitted to. And Hendrix' "Hendrix In The West" live version of Little Wing, not to mention the live version of Hendrix playing it at the Olympia in Paris were better than any other studio recorded versions. You have to hear the original artist's full variety of interpretations before making up your mind, especially from the guy who single-handedly revolutionized the electric guitar, Jimi.

Springsteen is great but Manfred Mann owned that song.
With a Little Help from My Friends-who can top the Beatles at their own song? Joe Cocker.

Of course, the only song that can truly compete with the two above is All Along the Watchtower. Hard to top Dylan but only one person could-Jimi Hendrix.

77. Oh, and one more...
As much as I love Depeche Mode, Marilyn Manson's version of "Personal Jesus" blows the original out of the water.

78. "Little Wing" as performed by Stevie Ray Vaughan
Far better than Hendrix's original.

84. "Something" by Isaac Hayes.
Actually 10 times better and more haunting than the Beatles version. This arrangement soars mightily.
