Did anyone read the "Million Little Pieces" by James Frey? |
|
You know the one with the Oprah controversy? I finished it last night!

:) I did find myself wondering what was and wasn't true (besides what we know). But it was a good read anyway.

6. I didn't care a bit about it until Oprah went bonkers on the whole thing. |

7. Dude, that guy has gotten SO much publicity, how annoying! |
|
I half bet his publishers were in on this, because even AFTER he was the book club pick or whatever, I didn't hear about him because I don't watch Oprah regularly.
When the lies started coming out, he was on the news like every freakin' day, and now the whole country knows about his stupid book, if they didn't before. It's really annoying, and now I'm not reading it on principle.

I will not contribute to his $millions, nor do I have time to waste reading his fiction.
We watched him look oh-so-pathetic and contrite on Oprah. About 10 minutes into I said to Mrs. Kay, "You know what they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity."
That said, he now has no agent, and no future. His movie deal is dead, and he's no longer in the top 10 on Amazon. I will be happy to see him drop out of the limelight.
