I can feel my mouth again... damn, it hurts! |
|
I don't like the dentist anymore. Mr. CornField and our little corn ears are gone for the night & I don't have anyone around to offer sympathy.

I wish they'd send you home with a needle and more novacaine. *sigh* The numbness was driving me crazy, but I would much rather have it than the pain it was covering up.

6. LOL -- Only round one is over |
|
I've got at least two more rounds to go. Still, I'm looking forward to the finished product.

We're attempting to turn back the clock on several years of neglect and fight some horrible teeth genes. While I always made sure my children found their way to the dentist at least once a year, there was no money for me to do the same. We didn't have dental insurance and made too much money to qualify for dental schools, reduced or free programs. About three years ago I took a blow to the mouth which broke one of my teeth in the front and chipped some the back ones. I went to the dentist right after it happened, but simply couldn't afford the $1,000+ the dentist wanted to repair the damage. Although it was accidental, medical insurance wouldn't pay for having the teeth rebuilt. So... I've been putting money back since then and now have enough to get the work done.
The thing I'm most looking forward to is laughing and smiling without feeling like everyone is being grossed out by the broken tooth. Guilt free smiling... it's gonna be great.

I feel for you. I too have some dental issues and am slowly but surely getting them taken care of. I don't have dental insurance either (I pay for my medical insurance out of pocket, so dental isn't an option).
Won't that be a great day when you can give the world a big old grin?! Post a pic when you do! :D

I think for now I'm gonna quit whining and just go lie down.
Thanks to everyone for putting up with me.
