2. I'd sooner wear a damn DRESS than order something called a
"law-tay" in public.

Doesn't matter how much caffeine it has.

33. Oh, but Redstone...
it's not a law-tay; it's a lah-tay.

You COULD just say "espresso with steamed milk."

;)

Or you could just have a regular coffee, black.

:D

34. See, now, the thing is...
My parents are Italian and 3 of my four brothers were born in Italy. And all four of them drink cafe latte, or espresso, or sometimes even cappucino. Which if you're Italian, is just a way of ordering a cup of coffee. And not a single one of them wears dresses.

10. Nope
It took me some guided lessons as to what's good there, from an expert we're both familiar with.

Now that drink, what I've dubbed the Julsy-Special, not only tastes great but is super-wiring

18. I recommend one
Just give one a try, yes, it's pricy for a damn coffee which is why they are treats as opposed to getting some green mountain. But damn, it's a lovely coffee taste.

23. I rarely drink their drip coffee
It either has to be doctored (Julsy-style or Zomby-style will do), or better yet, I recommend buying the beans to grind and brew yourself. You can avoid the scalding that way. Their free-trade coffee combines great taste with responsible activism.

The best coffee I get locally (besides mine) is from a mom-n-pop diner called Ricky & Ronny's. I can't explain why, but it is DAMN good for a diner! :9

24. A chain restaurant here called "Sero's" has the best...I don't know
if it's the coffee or the fact that they leave a pot of it on your table that is enticing. :D

19. You should try it once
I don't take dairy in my coffee, so it's affectionately (and unoriginally) referred to as Charbucks for me. Their espresso shots are designed to stand out flavor-wise in a lot of milk, so the beans are pretty burnt.

27. Nah, I'm kinda boycotting them...
I guess it doesn't really matter, since I had never shopped there, anyway. But Starbucks opened a shop INSIDE our university library. Our university prez has gone "privatization crazy." It left a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended, and everytime I see a Starbucks, I think of all of the long-time university employees who were laid off because of the privatization scam.

I like the privately, liberal-owned Java Shop near campus much more. :D

that does all the food services hire and train current and new employees. Nobody lost their jobs.

38. All of our vendors were let go.
They were state employees and they were let go before they hit retirement age...I would guess that most of them were within 10 years of retirement.

Then, our textbook center was privatized--now a Barnes and Noble.

Young student workers (low, low pay, no benefits) were hired in most, in place of older, more skilled and experienced state workers.

It's a growing trend in Mississippi, and it sucks.

Weird, huh?

That was one sick little girl. She must have vomited 30-40 times last night.
