the best moment of my life was my 2 cats cuddling on both sides of me on a warm sunny day in January (in San Diego) about 5 years ago, with the sun shining off every leaf of every tree, brilliant pinpoints of light everywhere, and the birds singing nonsense songs - one cat on each side as I laid down on the warm concrete driveway - both cats rolling over and over in pure joy - I remember thinking, "this is the best thing I have seen, ever" - both of those cats have gone to kitty heaven now but I'm sure they remember that day too.

I've had some pretty good ones. Performance days are pretty far up there, especially when I was able to make people pee themselves laughing.
I floated for two days after I nearly took my coach's head off w/ a line drive in batting practice (because she thought I stunk; it was early and just hadn't found the groove yet). She shouldn't'a been standing between the pitcher & 2nd baseman! HA!
The day I hit the road w/ Mrs. V., driving from CA to VA to make a life w/ her -- that ranks very high. That road trip was pretty awesome, for many reasons, but it was tempered with great sadness at leaving my family.
:hi: good thread idea...

It was also one of the most horrific days ....It hurt like hell and I was scared out of my mind. It was totally worth it.

No comparison!!

It's spooky. We're almost clones. We finish each others sentences and I know what she's thinking.
I adore her.

13. Late 1990's, I spent a day walking in the French Quarter taking pictures |

knowing that after my guy got out of his seminar, we would feast on seafood. Then we hit a few interesting bars before walking back to our room at the Provincial (on Decatur in the Quarter). I still remember the particular room we had that visit. I hope to see it again, soon.
Other than that, I suspect the day I spent at Chichzen Itza. I was overwhelmed, visually and emotionally to be in that place, to the point of feeling its a sacred place of sorts-something very, very special.
