Today, I spoke to the father of a soldier in Iraq.
BTW, the father is a disabled Vet who served 32 months in Vietnam.

He stated that his son said, "We are not fighting for George Bush. We are fighting for each other.

No emoticon can express.

2. I've heard several military folk say that
And that's also why a lot of them want to go back if they've been wounded -- all they can think about is their buddies who are still there. That's who there allegiance is to.

5. Good for him!
For GWB certainly isn't going to shed a tear if he gets hurt or killed over there. :-(

6. Ive heard the same from many others
"We dont fight for America or the President or the General or any high sounding ideal like freedom or liberty. We fight for our buddies in the foxhole next to us."

7. Why are they fighting for eachother? Why fight at all?
They certainly aren't fighting for our liberty, peace, or freedom. I understand wanting to protect eachother, but fight, kill? Why?

9. Object to being used as a pawn?
Quit the military? Anything is better than killing innocent people under false pretenses of patriotism, no?
