Oatmeal and coffee.....
that's my idea of a healthy breakfast. Anything short of eating vast amounts of lard is healthy to me. :) Oatmeal is by far the healthiest thing I eat. I should eat it more often actually.

I know some of you out there think that breakfast consists of coffee and tylenol, so you all know the score.

I think if I actually ate a piece of fruit my body might reject it. But, on another note, there is nothing quite like eating onion rings for breakfast, which I have tried a few times this year.

:)

1. Of all the things I had to eat all the time when I was a kid because
we were kinda poor, oatmeal is the only one I still like.

With just a touch of maple syrup, please.

5. you ever eat farina?
that's the commodity version of Cream of Wheat. I actually had my dad go up to our reservation commodity warehouse and get some commodity farina, peanuts, raisins and a few other things to send to me, haha.

Maple Syrup is good. I like a touch of brown sugar in mine from time to time. Usually nowadays I use something like Sweet N' Low or Equal. I don't really like regular sugar all that much. In anything.

I do remember that the yellow cheese in the big waxed-paper blocks wan't bad.

And I actually liked SOS.

3. I add raisins to mine
Love that.

I remember all the different types you could get in those instant packets. Apple Cinnamon, Peaches n' Cream, Maple Syrup and Brown Sugar etc. I would always eat a bowl before the bus came to pick us up for school. :)

I always eat two packages at once. One of the guys at work yesterday told me that he eats four packets at a time. Can you believe THAT? Four! Four I tell you!

10. coffee is a must
I have been obsessed with it for a long time. My writing is frequently filled with coffee references, haha.

I thought you were offline? Your messenger deal said you were away.

I like your little cartoon pic. Nice!

11. I'm so obsessed with my coffee that I often pack a grinder, beans on trips
I forget to change my messenger thingie. My Yahoo IM usually announces Do you DU but sometimes I don't change it for days. There's lots of times when I'm invisible. I've seen your little guy pop up when you log-on.

I'm glad you liked the cartoon.

BTW I don't think I'll be packing my coffee pot for this trip: www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x4685195

12. that's awesome
are you really planning on traveling all around? Sounds like a blast.

Yeah, I always pop up and then sign off right away. Otherwise I get too distracted talking to people on messenger when I should be reading and doing other things, haha.

Packing a coffee grinder? You are totally hardcore. :)

14. yep!
I really am planning to travel this summer. I have a huge map laying open on the jacuzzi. I'll be drawing lots of arcs on it. Each one will represent 250 miles, I've guessed that to be a day's ride.

When I get back home from the cross country trip I'll be picking up MissHoneychurch at the airport for a 3 week visit. We'll be on_the_road_again headed south. Plus I'm going to drive or ride down to see Sugar Smack at least once before I head west in July.

22. I go for protein--eggs
scrambled

I avoid fruit juice, but would eat a piece of whole fruit. I usually save that for a late morning snack or for dessert after lunch.

I love coffee but I only drink it on weekends. I have diet Snapple peach tea during the week.
