I double this.

1 quart heavy cream
3/4 cups sugar
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup pistachio nuts
color lightly with green vegetable coloring
Mix everything together and stir until the sugar is disolved.
Freeze in a hand cranked or electric ice cream freezer.
