1. you start thinking they're cheating on you
unless you have a history of irrational jealousy, you're probably right. or he/she is planning a surprise party for you.

11. yeah there's your answer
you wouldn't feel jealous if they were still as firmly in the relationship as before.

4. I'm so thick regarding peoples' mannerisms, I wouldn't tell.
If anything, I'd be more wanting to join in...

5. Funny you should mention 'dyers'
that's exactly what mine did...dye his hair. To cover the (three) grey strands.

Then started to get obsessive about his appearance.

8. picking fights with you about issues they ignored before
Almost as if they're trying to convince themselves that you are the one who is "driving them away", and that what they are doing is therefore okay. (Believe it or not, my ex suddenly began to accuse me of not checking up on him ... "I could have been having a fling when I was on that business trip, for all you knew -- don't you care enough to call me and see if I'm in my room?")

9. Lose interest in sex with you
Change their habits concerning hygeine and their appearance.

Suddenly has to work late/on weekends when they didn't have to before.

Keeps a cell phone and won't let you look at the bill/calls.

Those are just off the top of my head... I'm sure there are lots more.

10. "Checking up" is interpreted as "spying"
"Hey, how's it going."
"Why are you calling?!?"
"What time for dinner?"
"Are you spying on me?!?"

etc. etc. :eyes:
