What is the largest (denomination) bill you generally carry
I seldom have anything higher than a $20. It's only for emergencies - I pay for most things with my debit card.

1. $100
I usually have at least one $100 bill in my wallet in case I need the cash for something. Never can tell when you'll have an emergency (car breaks down and you need it towed and have to pay cash, for instance).

2. $20 bill = yuppie food stamp
I always get twenties from the ATM and change them in for tens. Tens are the perfect denomination.

6. $50
Sometimes $100 if I'm traveling. I guess we're alike in this one, it's for emergencies because I use my debit card for almost everything else.

8. Couple of years ago it was a $20. Now a $50 works about like the
Jackson used to. And I'm using C-notes a lot more than before. Not long ago, the only people who carried hundreds were assholes looking to impress people, but they're becoming much more common.

I stay away from using debit cards...nobody's business what I spend at the liquor store (for example).

10. Normally $20 bills.
Anything more is unwieldy. Retailers don't like them. Most of the time I don't have much cash on me. I'm a debit card user.

I usually carry $5s around. I don't like $20s - mostly because the kids like to get into my purse. It is a lot less painful when they take a $5....

14. Usually $20 - Nearly all the cash I use, I get from ATMs.
If I need to make a large purchase, then I will go into the bank and get $100s.

18. The $2 bill and dollar coins
there's nothing better than making the shittily dressed gum chewing retail 'clerks' count a few hundred of those things to teach them that they should show some fucking respect for their customers and get off the cell phone, spit out the gum, speak proper English, and not fucking mumble and not dress like a cheap whore or like a rap star.

22. $20
It's what the ATM spits out, though I wish it would give some $10s as well.

When I worked in retail I used to hate the people who would come in and toss me $100s. Half the time they'd be using them for some pissant little purchase like a five dollar book or a single magazine and I can't imagine that's the only bill they had. Even worse were the times they'd come in first thing in the morning when all we had in the registers were our $100 base funds. Then someone would have to go to the safe to make change, otherwise we might as well hand over the entire register drawer to the customer. Big time pain in the a$$.

27. Plenty of $100s
I bet sports every day so they are a necessity. Sportsbooks don't operate on credit. I also carry winning sports tickets and cash them so I can bet off the return. But you can't always depend on having a winning ticket(s) from each sportsbook so that's where the cash is a necessity in case I run into a great pointspread at an obscure sportsbook.

I'm a cash and carry guy and despise otherwise. When someone in front of me is paying via credit card I consider it a useless delaying tactic and it's extremely tough to feign calm and patient.
