Okay, I'll say it. Nick Lachey seems like a really nice guy.

No, I don't think he's talented and his boy band (whichever one it was) isn't my kind of thing... Yes, I think he was stupid to marry Jessica Simpson, but darned if there isn't something really sweet and earnest about him. I remember watching an episode of "The Newlyweds" with my daughter and he wanted to sod his yard himself. And this yfly thing he is speaking for seems like a decent idea for kids. There, I said it, I won't take it back and I feel better. :hi:

1. I agree with you
and he doesn't have that spoiled attitude that so many celebrities do.

2. He would really get on Jessica on that show for spending so much
money on stupid stuff...and then when he tried to set up that huge T.V.

He actually made that show worth watching. :) Hi! :hi:

8. His mother was a single mom
And he and his brother had to do really help out -- and really watch money.

My favorite thing: when he and JS got married, HE was the "rich" one, and he didn't make her sign a prenup. Now, SHE'S the rich one,a nd she's trying to get the judge to not give him any of "her" money, including money she earned while their marriage was still fine.

To me, THAT speaks volumes about values and niceness.

And yeah -- he and his brother seem like nice guys.

10. I love them both. And I'm not afraid to say it.
I have a picture of me and Nick framed in my house! I met him and Jessica the summer they were filming their first season of the show. I had no idea what they were filming and never thought they'd become that "big."

Anyway, they were both really sweet people. And honestly, they were both down to earth. She was kinda ditzy in a sweet way and he was just fun to talk to over a beer.

I'd definitely like to hang out with him again.

I have the pic on disc. I'll see if I can dig it out today and post here.

3. One would have to have the patience of Job...
...to put up with Jessica Simpson. He seemed like a cool enough guy.

12. The guy is a nutjob and abusive to his daughters if you ask me...
the "closeness" has always seemed fake to me.

6. MrsGrumpy...I'm not embarrassed to say that I met Nick Lachey.
And Jessica Simpson for that matter. I found them both to be very, very nice people. I have a picture of me with Nick and I have a grin from ear to ear in the picture because a) he was making me blush because he was so sweet and b) I had my hand on his ass.

He was great and I'll get in the ring with anyone on DU who says otherwise.

7. Did jessica's Daddy get jealous and make her dump him?
The Dad makes my skin crawl.. It's so unseemly to pimp out cute daughters because it's easier to make money from them, than to actually have a job of your own.. No wonder so many "child stars" end up hating their parents, and forbid their own kids from going into show business..

:puke:

13. You're not the only one
I think he is too. I don't like his musice, too candy-pop-ish for me. But, he doesn't seem like a decent guy.

14. Um well, he's not as nice as he appears. There is a NASTY lawsuit lurking
in the wings, being prepped by Jessica divorce team. It alledges that Nick forced her into menage a trois and other activities that certainly weren't part of her life before her marriage. After all, she was not an experienced woman on her marriage eve.

Dude isn't so nice.

17. I think so, too.
He does seem like a nice guy. I think he got the bum end of the deal in his marriage to Jessica, who seems like she has daddy issues, which makes impossible boots for a young husband to fill.

I don't know what yfly is, though.
