17. I said, "I'm immune." I didn't say,
"You're immune." Further, there are other places you can kiss me, smarty-pants.

11. Did you have a cold, flu, or stomach virus?
I _know_ that I caught my hideous cold in one of two places: the doctor's office, where I went _only_ to get a referral, or on the bus ride home (surrounded by coughing, sneezing, dribbly-nosed elementary school students).

I'm glad you're feeling better, tigereye. Did I ever tell you that "tigereye" is my favorite stone. My mala is tigereye, and I wear a tigereye bracelet on my left wrist. :) Excellent username.

26. I had the cold
I was fortunate that I, and the rest of my family, missed out on the stomach virus. :scared:

Thanks! I picked tigereye partly due to a Yang style taichi move, return tiger to mountain, and partly because of tigereye agate, which I think is so pretty. :hi:

5. Come to us for chicken soup, my friend.
Edited on Fri Feb-10-06 11:51 AM by Heidi
Call Me Wesley's cold is hitting him hard, just as I'm recovering, so this afternoon, I made a big pot of homemade chicken soup: four giant chicken breasts (shredded), homegrown bay leaves, celery, organic oregano and rosemary, white and yellow onions, green onion, potatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, corn and a bit of ginger root (per SeattleGirl's advice). It's yummy, and I made enough for an army. Wanna come to dinner?

If you're not up for a trans-Atlantic flight, how about if I light some Tara healing incense, play my Tara mantra CD, and send you some get-well vibes?

I think what I really need is sleep. But the damn thing wakes me up in the middle of the night and then I have to get up for work. :grr:
I can sleep in tomorrow.

How many days did you have it?

16. Four day of misery,
but I've had it seven days total. It started a week ago yesterday. Damn germ-laden kids on the PostAuto. :grr:

You need to get some Nyquil or the equivalent. If I'd taken Nyquil in the first two days of it, I'd have done a lot better.

21. been flat on my back for 3 days
Ugh.

I worked a little bit yesterday, but I was dragging through it. I called in sick this morning because I can feel this headcold is moving into my chest. The good news is that my head is feeling better.

I am very happy to have the following comforts with me:

- Dayquil and Nyquil
- a case full of Kleenex I bought from Costco a few weeks ago
- tea, Vernors, and shortbread cookies
- wireless DSL for my laptop (for fast access to DU and dKOS)
- stupid comedy shows on Comedy Central
- cats who love to cuddle with sick people.

Hope you all are feeling better!

27. I've had a sinus infection.
Last night I had a fever again but today I'm feeling a bit better.

I'm flying to Houston tomorrow. At least my head isn't as congested. God, it's just been forever. This winter has sucked for colds.

Thought I was getting better, even... then last night had horrible (and seemingly completely random) aches/pains, and woke up with a fever again this morning.

Joy.

31. Bad headache... day 4.
Side effect from meds I'm on, apparently. Decongestants help it, so it's probably sinus related.

I'm also cold.
