"Draws", or "Drawers"?
I've noticed that Norm Abrams

on "This Old House" calls them boxes that slide in and out of a chest of drawers "draws".

Is that a New England thang?

1. The missing Yankee "r",
making car into cah and drawer into draw-ah.

3. We New Englanders often say
"draws" but most do manage to spell it correctly as "drawers" when we refer to them in writing. Also depends on how "Boston" your accent is. DH's is much more pronounced than mine. He spells his name Marc, but it's really "Mahk" ;-)
