*Boring Win 2k Computer Network question |
|
I have to replace a computer on the network. This dead computer is named forbes, can I just name the new one forbes as well or is there some reason not to save myself a bunch of trouble with rights etc. since it's going to the same place and person who had the first forbes? (thank goodness for some help I received the last time I had trouble, I'll know to use the ip address of the server in the dns of forbes to get it on the network ;-) thanks for that helpful tidbit)

I named it during the elections because my boss kept coming up with repukes names and hurricanes. I did it so I could put a democrat in the office. It was the only name I could think of that he wouldn't catch on to and make me choose another.
So there is no reason not to keep it other than you like malcolm better? BTW thanks again, I'll remember this time.:hi:
