Favorite Winter Olympic Sport?
For me, it's all about curling. The Rodney Dangerfield of Winter Olympic Sports. I love curling; I can't help it.

Hockey, snowboarding, and bobsledding come next.

5. I am too uncoordinated
Some of my good friends back in WA state are quite good at it. It requires as much skill as skiing, and was overdue for Olympic status. :hi: Buddhamama!

I just looked at my Burton in the corner and sighed.

20. Second.
That's some crazy, schoolage, "I invented this sport in my backyard" kind of shit. Glad to see it's finally been getting some attention in the past few years.

6. did you ever try curling? I did....once. And I was in sore muscle hell
for three days afterward. It is more difficult than it looks, but I had a blast at the class. :hi:

My favorite is the luge.

9. It IS hard
Sweeping and moving down the ice, combined with shuffleboard skills. It is multidimensional. :D

I love the luge! Any of those events which involve going down tubes of ice at a dangerously high speed are okay by me!

10. I have "issues" with balance...
;) and fell over on my face more times than not while trying to throw the stone... It's actually a thing of beauty, to me, to see the coordination involved. :hi:

12. Yep
And I like that the stones all have to come from one single quarry in the world. Makes that unique among sports. :hi:

13. Luge--having been an avid sledder as a child
(we'd always look for crevices and whatnot to run down so we could pretend we were bobsledding) you just can't help being a bit envious of somebody who gets to do that at warp factor seven!

14. Attitash in New Hampshire has alpine slides which reminded me
of the luge when I did them a few times. You can go as slowly or as quickly as gravity allows. Considering some of the speeds I felt like I was going, they should offer helmets.
