Beer PSA: Don't drink the last one unless you have replacement beer ready.
If there's one beer left in the fridge, you must buy more beer to put in the fridge before opening the last lonely beer. That way everyone knows there's a tasty beverage available should one want to drink it.

This rule was instituted by my dad and his best friend when they started college. It has served them well for, oh, 30 some years. While my boyfriend claims he wants to follow this rule, he has yet to do so. When I left the house this morning I had two beers in the fridge. Now there are zero and it's too late to go buy some.

Terrible.

1. Actually, the time to make a beer run
is when you take the first beer from the last six-pack. In a pinch you can delay this some, but never allow your supply to fall below 4 beers!

3. Well that would be ideal, yes. But I think my dad's rule is a good one if
your rule goes ignored.

4. Rule not valid during heavy drinking sessions.
If someone is really tying one on it's only appropriate that they leave no beer in the house when they're done

5. True. This applies more to regular beer consumption.
If someone's going that far, they had better leave no beer, and a hilarious drunken rant on the notepaper by the phone that nobody can really decipher.
(Or something in that vein. No breaking bottles on the floor though. I'm tired of sweeping up glass.)
