6. Does thinking that you're dying count?

I am engaged in a battle with my neurons - I've tried to reason with them but they won't listen. They keep telling me that there are major pain issues in my left leg and I keep saying, "I got it the first 1,000,000 times you told me so now you can stop telling me!" but they just won't listen to reason. I'm working on getting the problem fixed, but there's just no pleasing the pain receptors, is there?

So, I was able to sleep for two hours (right after taking 750mg of Vicodin) and I've been awake ever since (and now I've got another 30 minutes before I can take the next dose). I tried to lay down, but the pain is unbearable. I've been pacing in the kitchen/dining area of our apartment for the last 30 minutes and finally am comfortable enough to sit here and pass the time on DU.

No colds or flu (but why not at this point?) but I tend to think I'm dying at least three times a day lately. Fun times. Here's what just cheered me up: I read a quote by Steven Wright where he said, "I put instant coffee in my microwave oven and almost went back in time."
I laughed for about 10 minutes straight! (I wasn't able to roll around but nonetheless...) :rofl:
