It's 42 f*cking degrees outside, and my 14-year-old cat pitched a fit
until I let him out into the atrium. He found a sunny spot and he's working on his tan.

I hope he doesn't catch pneumonia.

2. So cats like snow? Or they just need the action? Or tracking mice is
easier in the snow and cats know it?

4. No snow involved
We had 28 degrees overnight, but this is in Southeast Texas, Houston to be exact. It snows here every 5-6 years or so, but not this weekend.

I have no idea why the cats like it cold. The atrium is completely enclosed, nice deck, toys, no grass, sunny spots, shady spots. Go fig.

6. They didn't use to be able to go outside at all
Even just spending time in the enclosed atrium, a couple of them actually put on winter fur this year. Evie can make herself all puffy and big. Her fur's definitely thicker.

I'm sure they'd love snow if they ever saw it.

7. It's 20 degrees here and sunny
which in winter means it's colder than a welldiggers ass if the wind is blowing. The clouds keep the heat close to the ground, which sounds strange, but it's true.

8. Ginger wouldn't even go outside this morning,
not even to make yellow snow. When I opened the door, she turned around and climbed back in bed.

Julie went out and wouldn't come back in. Oh well. She can just stay out there and play.

9. 42 degrees is cold? Don't be such a weenie.
42 isn't T-shirt weather, but it ain't hardly cold, either.
