I am so upset with my family
My boyfriend lost his job and we have been doing oddjobs for my Mother and working on her rental house getting it ready. Anyway, that work dried up and we need to make some money. I used to clean my Mother's residence (not her rental) and make a hundred bucks a shot doing that, but since her rental has been empty, she can't afford me. I sometimes clean my Grandparent's house but they just paid their property taxes and they say they can't afford me. I offered to clean my Aunt's house but she is still dealing with Christmas bills.

There is something that gets me about all of this, all the above people I mentioned are wealthy to a degree. My Mom just spent 10,000 fixing up her rental, what is an extra 100.00? My Grandparents have tens of thousands of dollars in the bank, what is an extra 50.00? My Aunt, I can understand, she is supporting her deadbeat son and pays his rent, food, bills, etc.

I swear this whole thing is a conpsiracy to make me suffer.

1. I'm sorry to hear that, Roon.
It's weird how tight-fisted well-off people can be, especially with their own families... and with relatives who are willing to actually work for the money? And such a small amount. Damn... That really makes no sense to me. Are there any agencies you could hook up with to do some cleaning work in the area?

3. I only clean for people I know
It's a weird rule of mine. I hate cleaning stranger's houses, but if I get desperate enough.......

2. Family can be the worst employer
In your case, they don't see a reason to pay you. Have you at any point, done this for free? This is the underlying reason they "can't afford you"...

You seem to have a knack for cleaning residences, why don't you start your own cleaning business so you can be your own boss? Then you don't have to depend on your family for your income!

7. I don't get family sometimes....
it's baffling how they act sometimes.

Sorry about the financial situation, hope things look up for you soon.
