84 and BEAUTIFUL in Southern California!
B-) I am going back outside... I had to come in and let you poor bastards stuck with nasty snow and bitter cold wind know about the unbelievably great weather over here.

13. Greetings
Missourian. I've only lived in the loveliness that is SoCal since October. Before that...Lincoln, Nebraska. I know well the weather you're dealing with...and I feel for ya!

You've had a fairly temperate winter though, haven't you?

18. Not too bad.
Some snow, but usually no more than a couple of inches at a time. The wind's the toughest...it's so flat here; there's nothing to act as a buffer. Oh well--c'est la vie. Enjoy your beautiful weather! :toast:

And yes, we could use some rain too. Though the wildfires are back under control.

Hell, our mayor is not only the most progressive Democratic mayor in America, he has more power than the chastened, impotent Ahnold. And Senator Boxer will still be here for us long after we terminate the bastard later this year. :D

Anyone who tries using Ahnold to make some kind of anti-CA statement is jealous at worst or floundering at best. ;-)

Besides, I'm guessing if we spent a minute or two on google, we could find a mayor in Illinois who is something less than progressive.

77. The full moon is GORGEOUS
Nini and I went down to the beach to watch the sunset... (pictures shortly), and after we turned and left, there was the moon!

We had a great view of Malibu across the water... and Point Dume jutting out into the Pacific.

71. I actually thought
that this was going to be about a woman who had probably had a lot of plastic surgery!

75. Long ago, a bunch of New Yorkers were standing around...
…and one of them said "You know, I like New York. I love the overcrowding, the crime, and the urban blight, but you know? It's just not cold enough here!" and thus, Chicago was founded.

I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. You can have your earthquakes and your mudslides and your raging forrest fires. I'm happy with my tornados, thank you very much. ;)

PS — why are both "tornadoes" and "tornados" considered proper plural spellings? Why can't we settle on just one?

76. it feels like it's summer time
people are dressing in shorts, light shirts, skirts etc. kids outside playing in the water. lines at ice cream places.

i keep thinking it's summer and then remember it's only February. very unusual weather for this time of the year. even if it is California. usually even if it's clear outside it's still really cold.

but it's been warm for the past couple weeks or so.
