My soon-to-be landlady ROCKS. |
|
We signed a new lease today, on the place that's right below a sushi chef and a teacher. (Bye-bye college boys!)
Anyway--we found out that the new landlady is basically my twin. Same age, once a teacher, now a writer/editor, divorced, no kids of her own, living with a divorced guy with kids. (The guy and younger son are also very cool -- the son, 4, played with my SO's 3-year-old daughter for an hour today.) So she's not only not going to give us crap for our very similar living situations, but she even appreciated seeing a woman who was willing to live with chilldren who weren't biologically hers walk through her door. AND she and her SO might come to Drinking Liberally next time!
It's in a great neighborhood, a block from a park with playground and wading pool.
We're taking possession April 1, moving as soon as possible thereafter.
Woo hoo! :bounce:

did you find this in Bayview? I saw your thread when you were hunting, but I had nothing to offer. My daughter's bf found a wonderful upper recently on Austin(?). what a wonderful neighborhood.

it's always nice when you have something in common with the landlady/landlord.

7. Well, I don't know whether he's the type who loves what he does, or just |
|
doesn't want to look at sushi when he gets home, or both...so we'll see.
But, as he is in charge of mowing (yep! it's in his lease that it's his problem, not ours!), garden space would be less to mow...
