Not a closet republican. I come from a land of proportional representation and am therefore quite a fan of democracy in its real sense.
I cannot stand bush, I get queasy watching on TV and have been known to throw things at the TV when he is on.
As a favour to the democratic membership my boyfriend and I counseled and entertained 2 distraught traveling democrats we found at a pub on Nov' 4th 2004 while watching the election coverage. We took them for lunch the next day to make sure they hadn't done anything *silly* overnight. They were swell.

18. I typed it with tears in my eyes. He is just a model of humility and

humanity. He struggled to support us when he lost his job after 30 years in the beer industry...selling dictionaries...losing our home, working in market research, and yet he never let on how much life had hurt him. He still doesn't. Only sometimes, do I see little tears at the corners of his eyes. He protected me from the harshness of a mother who saw me as a competitor rather than a daughter.
