What music have you started out the week listening to?
I heard these great CDs yesterday and today-

Veronicas - Secret Life Of
Rosanne Cash - Black Cadillac
Halo Friendlies - Get Real

Also:

Bought a couple more songs from KT Tunstall. I don't like the bluesy songs from her (with the exception of "Suddenly I See") as much. I like her more ever since I heard more than "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" and "Miniature Disasters," though. Album gets a B, as it's still uneven IMO - but with some excellent moments.)

Heard Josh Turner, who has generated a lot of buzz. Has an appealingly deep voice, but he lacks good material at this point.

And checked out Lucy Walsh, who I didn't expect to like since she's associated with Ashlee Simpson (I love pop/rock, but Ashlee, Hilary Duff, and Lindsay Lohan are kind of the McDonalds of the genre.) But I did enjoy what I heard.

5. I've been listening to that a lot for the last week
:hi:

A friend of mine brought it over and put it on my pc, and I've never really heard much Dylan in the past aside from what was on the radio. I'm lovin it!

12. It is indeed.
I love the Corrs--I used to be an Irish dancer, and my parents and their friends were always big St. Patty's Day people, so the Irish elements of the songs always bring me back to my childhood. Enjoy! :D

2. That @#$%& guitar riff on Air America
I understand the reason for it, but it's getting to the point where I want to puncture my own eardrums with chopsticks.

3. A fair variety.
First thing that I put on (as opposed to radio) was the Brandenburg Concerti.

Then I had the Shostakovich piano concerti,
Some late renaissance Venetian music,
Tallis English anthems,
At the moment we're on Dialogues des Carmelites by Poulenc.

8. Metric and Hank Williams
Metric is a British band (I think) that I recently discovered from their appearance on the Conan O'Brien show. Great band.

And Hank...he just seemed to fit my life at the moment.

21. Tonight
I took out Donna Lewis's Now In A Minute. Many will remember "I Love You Always Forever," but the whole album is great! Mixes 80-style keyboard with some folk sounds and even a bit of modern rock.

24. A few
I did a lot of driving this weekend so I got to listen to a few of my favorites: The Best of the Gin Blossoms, Golden Smog's Weird Tales, The Jayhawks' Tomorrow the Green Grass, and The Best of the Smithereens. I've also been listening to a double-CD Kinks' hits collection one of my friends burned for me and am currently listening to the psychedelic group The Blues Magoos' debut LP.
