I just finished helping my 3rd grader with her class Valentine's Day cards |
|
My job was to scotch tape on the strawberry heart-shaped lollipops to the cards she'd already filled out.
Imagine my surprise when I came across a Valentine's card made out to HERSELF, with a extra special little note, wishing herself a Happy Valentine's Day!
I totally LOVE it!! I guess you could say she's got a healthy sense of self esteem.
When I asked her about it she seemed surprised by MY surprise and said plainly, "Well, Mom, I love MYSELF, you know!" Like I was an idiot for even ASKING.... :eyes:
Is that cute, or what?!?

2. You know, I just helped my Kindergartener with Valentine's... |
|
One of my job duties also included taping chocolates...
Anyway, I was counting and noticed we had one too many, and she told me one of them was for herself. I guess when there is candy involved, you don't want to miss out. :-)
