Does anyone else remember those cool as hell beach houses in SC
from the 50's to the 70's?

The ones that regular people could afford, and if a hurricane took them down, it was only about $8.75 worth of plywood?

The ones with the windows that had to be propped open...lots of fans...no AC...porches...outdoor showers?

Nobody was rich--just had cheapo little vacation places-

2. Sullivans Island
In the fifties. SIL lost her house there to Hugo. Replaced it with bigger and better sold it for a small fortune.
