I'm getting a little nervous about my Valentine's Day gift...
I ordered a delivery of flowers for my girlfriend to be sent to her office. It's 3:00 and still no word on them. I've tried calling the place, but the line's been busy. I really hope they get there before she leaves for the day at 5!! :scared:

1. Good luck
I'm sure the florist is swamped today. I hope they deliver on time.

2. I will be PISSED if they don't
If they couldn't fulfill the order, they shouldn't have taken it. I will demand a refund.

3. Do you specify a time?
I did the flower delivery thing for a bit. V Day is the worst. The florist is probably just slammed.

4. There was no place to specify time
But there's no way possible to mistake this for a residential address.

7. I can't afford it.
:evilfrown: This was a stretch for me.

I might add, this was the "icing on the cake", after a big night on the town and a couple of other gifts, but still...

9. If they don't get there like now call the florist and have them
make another delivery at a later date. It'll be an unexpected pleasant surprise.

10. I've been calling all afternoon and getting busy signals.
The line has been totally jammed, and I've been calling every 10 minutes for about 3 hours. :-(

Hope they show up soon, or failing that -- that they refund your money and call her and explain why they screwed her flowers up.

12. Jeez, I thought from your post title that you had bought something you
weren't sure she'd appreciate...set of socket wrenches or something.

20. You betcha!
I got sexy lingerie from an old boyfriend once. It was pretty bad and not my style. Made me feel like he didn't know me at all. Careful with the undies fellas!

23. I know, it's just the point.
You go out of your way to do something and your plan still fails. It's just obnoxious is all.

I'm sometimes torn between "Live in the moment" philosophy, which makes for less disappointment; and "plan and prepare" which seems to offer the best hope for a successful career.

16. It's OK, she will still love you!
And will love that this matters so much to you. I have a friend who is a florist. Today is a nightmare for her. But, a big help in keeping the business afloat.

I told her, and she was still really happy about it (pissed at the florist though).

Tell your friend not to accept orders she can't fulfill!!! :grr: :grr: :grr: :D

19. The Ones I Ordered Arrived Squashed Without a Vase
Guess who's going to be demanding a refund?

He left a dozen long-stem roses for me in my car - they're perfect.
