Poll question: What's your favorite chocolate candy?
Right now mine is Whole Foods Truffles. They are dark, not too sweet, and have a fabulous silky texture. I told my sister in law it is like orgasm by chocolate. One truffle is better than an entire box of Russell Stover's.

1. I'm not particular, but Rocky Mountain and See's are both wonderful.
Still, I'm pretty happy with just a Hershey's Special Dark miniature. :)

7. They do contain some protein.
And chocolate has fiber. Can you believe that? It does. Honest. It's almost like health food. ;)

11. Bernard Callebaut
http://www.bernardcallebaut.com/users/folder.asp?FolderID=4972&ChocolateID=32

So many delicious ones to choose from, but my favourite is Manon...it states white chocolate with walnut and meringue...but that's the creamiest meringue I've ever tasted. Moccachino http://www.bernardcallebaut.com/users/folder.asp?FolderID=4972&ChocolateID=38 and
Hazelnut http://www.bernardcallebaut.com/users/folder.asp?FolderID=4972&ChocolateID=36 are other favourites.

12. Now some folks don't consider white chocolate to be real chocolate.
But I do notice it does have cocoa butter...with antioxidents...so maybe can consider it a chocolate as well as a health food. ;)

http://www.foodreference.com/html/artwhitechocolate.html

"White chocolate originates from the cocoa (cacao) plant, but it is not 'chocolate.' According to the FDA, to be called 'chocolate' a product must contain chocolate liquor, which is what gives it the biter intense chocolate flavor (and color) to dark and milk chocolates.

White chocolate contains cocoa butter, milk solids, sugar, lecithin and flavorings (usually including vanilla). Cocoa butter is the fat from cocoa beans, extracted from the cocoa beans during the process of making chocolate and cocoa powder. Cocoa butter has very little 'chocolate' flavor.

Cocoa butter is one of the ingredients used to make real chocolate, it is gives chocolate the ability to remain solid at room temperature, yet melt easily in the mouth.

Cocoa butter is one of the most stable fats known, containing natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity and give it a storage life of 2 to 5 years. It is used for its smooth texture in foods (including chocolate) and in cosmetics and soaps."

22. The kind someone else eats. Yes, call me a mutant if you wish, but
I don't eat chocolate, other candy, or anything else that's sweet. Unless in involves fruit, like a pice or cobbler, and even then it has to be one we make at home with about 1/4 the sugar that the recipes call for.

And the thought of caramel or butterscotch, well, you do not want to hear it...
