I've been exercising for over 5 weeks now. Haven't lost one pound. |
|
Of course, my waistline slowly keeps shrinking. (I'm virtually a size 32 now.)
How can this be?

Do you accept spankings from statuesque and large busted women?

4. Keep up the good work. Weight loss isn't the only reason to exercise |
|
Good for cardio fitness, blood pressure, cholesterol, self esteem, etc.

6. The weight loss doesn't matter that much |
|
if you're feeling better and losing inches! Good for you Hypno, keep it up!
I, on the other hand, have only worked out once for 30 minutes over the weekend but have been dieting and have lost 2 pounds since Saturday. :woohoo:
I was just commenting last night how much better I've been feeling even after only 3 days and this morning the scale made me feel even better. I'm glad to weigh less but what will be the most rewarding will be putting on a swim suit and not looking like a beached whale!
Go Hypno! Go Cindy! Keep it up! Get healthy! Yeah!

7. I've been working out since November and have lost about 4 lbs, but have |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-15-06 10:34 AM by radwriter0555
dropped 2 clothing sizes. Muscle weighs more than fat, so I don't mind a bit. I wasn't fat per se, just very out of shape. I'd like to ultimately drop at 20 lbs, but even at the condition I'm in, I'm way better off than I was.
I went shopping yesterday for the first time in months and DAMN my butt looks GOOD! My legs are no longer jelly, my tummy is still a bit soft and I still have some hadassah arms to get rid of, but slow and steady wins the race! I now get to buy differently shaped pants for the first time in years. I don't have to buy the old lady pants, I have to get the low rise for the best look. It's SOOO nice.
DO THE LUNGES. I am so seriously telling you, nothing will change your physique faster than the lunge series.

8. I just got back into working out |
|
I am going much slower this time. I went HARD up until about 4 months ago (after a long haul of laziness) and basically burned out.
I have to run in the evenings now. God how I miss running in the morning.
Lunges huh?

9. Yeah, LUNGES. Take them slow, start with doing a few, like under 10, right |
|
until your body is used to doing them. It takes coordination because it's very strenuous.
You can find several good sites online that detail how to do them correctly. The point is to go slowly and balance well, align yourself properly... and DAYUM, they work so good!
I'm still in recovery mode from all my accidents, and not in the best of shape, so I'm up to 45 per week. I do them every other day, since it's so strenuous.

10. This is happening to me |
|
I exercise & watch what I eat, but not one damn pound finds its way off my body. However, I can get into smaller & smaller sizes (now size 16, although I'm still over 200, go figure). Sometimes, I will lose a little bit, like one lousy pound, but I can never seem to get below 200. :grr:
It is frustrating, but do realize that if you stop exercising & treating your body right, you'll gain whatever you've lost back in no time flat. :)
