8. youd be surprised at how little snow is left in the city...
id say well over half has already melted away. baring embankments in a few places, the majority is gone :D

10. Any serious flooding?
Are your storm sewers equipped to handle such a load?

I am glad most of it is gone.

12. not that ive heard
im pretty sure the sewers are very well equipped to handle it. even when we have had torrential rain and street flooding, the sewers haven't backed up

13. Sometimes the sewers freeze with heavy snows and they back up then
Hope that is not the case in Manhattan.

I am sure the City Sewer workers were on it, so nothing deleterious will happen, at least in the "good neighborhoods" (sorry for the cynicism)

during the black out, they made sure to get time square all up and lit up in no time, but I had to wait a day later for power in the Lower East Side
