im pretty sure the sewers are very well equipped to handle it. even when we have had torrential rain and street flooding, the sewers haven't backed up

I am sure the City Sewer workers were on it, so nothing deleterious will happen, at least in the "good neighborhoods" (sorry for the cynicism)

during the black out, they made sure to get time square all up and lit up in no time, but I had to wait a day later for power in the Lower East Side
