Any fans of the group The Sundays? |
|
I just discovered them. I love this group. They remind me of 10,000 Maniacs fronted by Rickie Lee Jones.

I've loved them since I was in college oh so many years ago (well, like 18 yrs ago anyway). I always thought they sounded like the female version of the Smiths.

5. Yeah, a friend of mine introduced them to me in the late 80s. |
|
But good music ages well. Their first album is fantastic. Well, all three are fantastic actually.

6. That's what they always reminded me of, too |
|
Especially "Here's Where the Story Ends", their first single in the US (Summer of 1990 to be exact-- I remember it well).
Last I heard of them Harriet Wheeler and the guitarist had quit music and were raising a family.

7. For me it was the song that goes "Think about the time I kicked a |
|
boy til he cried." Morrisey could've easily recorded the same song. But yeah, Here's Where the Story Ends is another great one.

4. The Sundays are great! |

I have three albums and I'm pretty sure that's all they did. I wrote many a term paper listening to the Sundays.. them and Miles Davis. Great chill music for the evening too.

...but...eh, I dunno why I didn't. We have spoken previously of your love for The Sundays. I totally made my friend sell me his extra ticket back then because I just knew...;)
