Jeez, how long does it take to get the smell of cigarettes out
of your nose? We went to a casino last night, there was smoke everywhere, I've been smelling it all day, along with a headache from that poison.

1. Cig smoke is nasty stuff.
Try taking some deep breathes outside in the fresh air. The smoke is probably in your hair and skin too.
Shower with a strong smelling soap.

I'm going to Vegas next week. I end up with headaches too from all the smoke in the casinos. I wonder how smokers can stand drawing that sh*t into their lungs. Yuck!

2. I agree that it's probably still in your skin and hair...
even if you've showered a couple of times.

I quit smoking several years ago, and I'm more sensitive than ever to the smell of cigarette smoke. I can usually smell it on myself for a day or two after being in a particularly smoky place, like a bar.

3. I can't get rid of it unless I shower.
And sometimes, after heavy exposure, I still have it in my nose.

We stayed in a "non-smoking" room in a hotel last year that turned out to be nothing more than a "refreshed" room. So our noses were filled with cigarette smoke AND Febreeze. Mr GoG was sick for several days afterward. :(

4. I did a gig in a REALLY smoky club last year...
I didn't open up that bass case until a week later, and it was like an overflowing ashtray was in there with my bass!

5. Could still be coming out of your lungs.
It sits in there for freaking ever. Trust me. I've been busted for smoking, after breathing out deeply, MANY hours after I'd smoked, bathed, and otherwise gotten the smell off me.

6. I refuse to wear coats or dryclean only stuff to bars where with smoking
It's almost a habit with me to never wear a coat anyways unless I know I'll be outdoors for awhile. But if I do go out to a smoky bar (and I have from time to time) as soon as I'm home the clothes go into the washing machine and I jump into the shower. If I don't shower then my entire bed will smell like smoke!

7. I'm the same way.
If I can't put it in the washing machine, I don't wear it to a smoky place. My husband has a jacket he reserves strictly for wearing out to bars, and he hangs it in the garage.

8. It's in my nose
I smell it with every breath, damn this sucks. I feel for the people who have to work in these places, they're going to have health issues from second hand smoke.

14. I"ve tried snorting coke
but the only thing that happens is the bubbles in the soda make me spew it right back out

:spray:

And don't get me started with pot smoking - who thought this would burn?

10. The netti pot
It's awkward as all get out to use, but your nasal cavities will be squeaky clean after you use it. It's good when you have sinus infections too.

12. less time than it takes to get rid of auto exhaust
I'm a smoker. I also use a bicycle for the overwhelming majority of my transportation needs. I refuse to feel like a pariah because I do something that brings me pleasure, especially when most of the people who complain about it do far worse things to the atmosphere than I do.

13. it might be in your hair
wash your hair

seriously try it if you haven't already

in future gamble at a higher limit table and request a "no smoking" sign, works for me, in smaller places they might even do it for $25 tables :-)
