All of a sudden I'm getting my Netflix DVD's quickly |
|
I guess they had to straighten up their act after the round of bad publicity over their intentional delays for some customers. I was ready to quit if it didn't change immediately and I'm guessing they knew a lot of people felt the same way. It was getting ridiculous. I had one DVD shipped from two time zones away and it took 5 days in the mail. I'll see how long their "come to Jesus" moment lasts.

1. Sounds good. They were really bad the last place I lived, even though |
|
the distribution center was only about 100 miles away. In addition, it was amazing how many of the progressive political ones came to me broken. That didn't happen anywhere else.

I get a lot of obscure movies, documentaries, and political stuff from them. I only got one that was broken.

3. Yeah, it was only that one distribution center. Although, to be fair, I |
|
did receive a greater quantity of bad media from them period - not all of it was political.

4. We've had problems too! |
|
They have throttled us back to limit the number of flicks we get. Plus, we return three on the same day (dropped in same PO box) and they log back in two and sit on the third one for a week, claiming they didn't receive it. At first, we thought it was the local post office, so we have been testing them for three weeks to see. Nope - they're just being dishonest. We have now suspended our Netflix service and started with Blockbuster to see if they do any better. Netflix has a better web site interface, but I'm sick of them playing games with our movies. O.K., let's see how Blockbuster does, as we're tracking them now...

5. I guess I am the only one who hasn't had any problems with Netflix. |

The turnaround time is practically overnight. But, of course, the nearest distribution center is only about 50 miles away. I have had to return some bad discs for replacement, though.

I've gotten a few bad disks--now I know to check them immediately, not wait for the weekend. But they sent replacements as soon as I reported problems.

6. Actually, I don't think they have. |
|
I think they just incorporated "throttling" into their terms of service, quite frankly.

7. Blockbuster is their competition now in home delivery |
|
Maybe they were beginning to lose some market share. I don't use either anymore. PPV or buy a used dvd cheap, then trade or re-sell it if it does not rate to be in our home collection.

9. they started doing that some 2yrs ago, that andrew goof on cnn... |
|
thought he was voicing some news scoop or other, but he neglected to mentioned that netflix lowered their price; he's a closet bush economic supporter if you listen to him.
our netflix turnaround time has improved since before 'the scoop' i think in response to their many spot surveys they people take as to when their orders have been being received imo of course
