Poll question: Just For Fun, Favorite Cuba Gooding, Jr. Movie
I have to admit I'm a big fan, weather he's doing comedy, light drama or something pretty heavy.

he seems to be the actor that they call when they need somebody who can do just about anything.

ChicaAzul and I love to watch "Radio" or "Men of Honor", our son laughs his little buns off at "Snowdogs" and when we want something good but light, "The Fighting Temptations" is always a consideration.

How about yours?

1. He's very good in "Losing Isaiah"
I also liked his cameos in A Few Good Men and As Good as It Gets.

7. Yes!
One of my favorite scenes is when Jack is so mean to Greg and Cuba smiles and says "Lemme talk to you..." before Greg pulls him back. Then later, Cuba MAJORLY tears Jack a new one!

10. Yay, Cuba, and if he's in it, I LOVE it!
I really love "Chill Factor," with Cuba & Skeet Ulrich, two of my favorites.

11. Gladiator (1992)
Eventhough Cuba doesn't do it, it's great to see Brian Dennehy get beat up...

12. No Boat Trip?
:silly:

Gosh, that was a horrible picture. I think he's a capable actor, and I think it's mildly insulting that an Oscar winner has to scrounge for work the way he seems to have been. Eh, maybe he really wanted to do "Snow Dogs"?

21. Boat Trip was horrible
but Snow Dogs-doesn't he have children? Maybe he wanted to make a family movie that he could take them to.
There are quite a few well-established actors who are going this route now w/ film role, at least on a occasional basis. A good example is Eddie Murphy. Most of his early work is not family-friendly. But most of his work now is acceptable for the family.

23. I always wonder if that's not a step down. :(
I mean, Russell Crowe has a kid now, you'll not see him in a Snow Dogs like film. Tom Hanks, up until the Polar Express, same thing.

24. It might be for some
but others have expressed that it is a chance for their children to finally see them at work. In the case of Eddie Murphy-would you let your young children watch Raw? Probably not. But you could let them watch Haunted Mansion.

Even respected actors like Tom Hanks and Tim Robbins have made similar moves lately. If you chose a crappy project it would be a step down. But choosing a major player movie(for example, something by Disney) and you know that it has some potential. People will see the movie because they know it's Disney(like Snow Dogs).

It could be viewed as a way to expand your market.

18. One of the things I Love about that movie...
...is that everyone is so natural, they don't seem to be acting. It's a very humane movie.

ChicaAzul accepts that I have a thing for Helen Hunt. I accept that she has a thin for Ed Harris.

Needless to say, we really enjoyed "Empire Falls", especially since it was filmed near here. Our son's (and our) favorite babysitter's elbow was right next to Helen Hunt in one scene!
