2. My cat went after a Great Blue Heron that had landed in our yard

by mistake. Cats really do see themselves as big jungle cats. :D

A friend of mine has a koi pond in the backyard, and a heron who loves to visit. She mad a little shelter for the fish to hide under when Mr Heron shows up.

Once I saw a white-tailed deer run through our back yard, with a couple of tabby cats in hot pursuit. I could imagine them thinking something like, "If we can pull this off, we'll eat like kings!"

13. My six pound Nola

tried to take down a turkey in the yard one day. She was doing the whole fanny wiggle routine getting ready to pounce. Do have a cat that has brought home two rabbits though. He is 20 lbs. And could probably take down such a bird.

16. Truth be told, he is a gentle giant

The vet thinks he is 90 percent cat, and 10 percent something else, maybe lynx. He is such a baby, when he sits on my lap to get some lovin' he gets so emotional that it effects his breathing and he starts to almost have an asthmatic attack.

22. First time my old city boys saw deer in their new country yard

they went into major dog in the yard alert! Jumped on me in bed and insisted I come to the window to see the big ass chihuahuas in the yard!

26. That's kinda how my eldest kitty is!

One evening last summer, a doe came up to the LR window and looked in! I thought the furbaby was gonna go crazy. She also runs from window to window watching them as they move around the house -- sometimes 4-10 doe will walk through the yard.

Don't even get me started about when she sees fawns. She SO knows she could take on of them down.... she's all of seven-pounds, so I think she's having some catnip dreams, there...
