So I sallied through the sally port

and sallied forth to confront the dragons of commercialism. At the 'Green Frog' I purchased a cup of high test coffee..added cream and sugar.

From the 'Green Frog' to the post office. Sheet of breast cancer stamps for mailing of next month's bills.

Then to Lake Shore Road. Lake Erie still has no ice except for minor build up on shore line. Never seen the lake without ice in February.

The drug store took money for beer, drugs and ice cream. The Pharmacist called me Mister. That was nice. Clerk in there a few weeks called me 'Honey" because she was pissed off at me. That was not nice.

Stopped at the local watering hole for a glass of Club Soda with a lemon twist. I am not allowed alcohol due to heart medicines. But I do not miss the alcohol.

My drinking companion had an operation a few weeks ago for a cancerous growth in his throat. Now there is a shadow on his lung. I am sorry for him.

So tomorrow and the week end we are in for some exciting winds and cold. I am glad I had a successful 'Sally Forth' today. We are solid for the next week or so.
