A great surprise at work today
Our Holiday party got canceled back in December because of the transit strike. (I'm in NYC) The powers that be decided that we needed to have that party today.

A lot of people are taking off tomorrow so they can turn the 3 day weekend into 4 days, so they wanted to have it on a day when everyone would be here.

The music is actually pretty good.

The food... Chocolate fountains with lots of fruit and cakes to dip. Piles of shrimp. Holiday cookies and finger foods.

I'm going back. I promised some of the woman in Accounts Payable that I'd get back out on the dance floor with them. (And Damn it, if the guy with the cane can get out there and dance then there's no excuse for anyone else.)
