1. $10,000 for a new sink and shower?
I mean come on, the average home improvement store doesnt even charge more than $1,000 - $2,000 for a new shower system.

What's the extra $1 for?

2. Let's think about this for a minute
Home Depot sells two super high performance toilets--American Standard's Champion and Kohler's Wellworth. Either one runs about $300, so let's pick the American Standard.

Now let's throw in a nice $300 vanity with a $200 granite vanity top.

So far we're up to $800. Now let's get fancy, go down to millwork and special-order a Pittsburgh Corning glass block shower stall for $1200. We'll throw an $800 Hansgrohe shower panel on it, they're really nice.

Let's waste $200 on a great toilet seat, an American Standard faucet, a new towel bar, a toilet paper holder and other little miscellany...we're looking at $3000 so far.

Spend the extra $7000 on ceramic tile, new plumbing and so on...you can create a real nice bathroom WITH an iMac in it for way less than $10,000.

7. In PA a full bath remodel costs around $10,000
I am currently remodeling....

We had to do a total tearout, new ceiling, new floor (replaced subfloor around old toilet)...moved pluming around...etc... first week was tearout, plumbing, electrical and all the construction to prepare for tiling...this week we have been doing the tiling and it isn't done yet...and we are tiling the floor and all the walls...including those in the shower...and it is being tiled all the way to the ceiling...

4 custom cabinets, new toilet and new tub and sink...

and this is all for a little over 10K
