Anyone know of any ski mountains in New England (NH/VT/ME) that has runs like that with jumps?
Shit, I'd be all over that next winter
edit: just got the name

watching the sport on the Olympics. I never saw it before on TV. Heard about it but never watched it. I think it's my new favorite sport! :)

14. Haha, I'm not in it no. |
|
I'm nowhere near that talented. I've done a few rails in my day though, haha. None were exactly menacing though(like some of the ones in that video). I always hit the terrain park (rails, jumps, and halfpipe) when I'm at the mountain, though. That's where the fun is.

I thought I saw you in one of the rail pics. Seems like a lot of fun.
I'm not a big snow person though. Never been skiing. I just hate snow, so why would I want to be on a mountain that's surrounded by snow??!?!? :)

16. Normally, I hate snow as well... |
|
But give me a board and I love it.
It's ridiculously fun.

17. Is snowboarding hard to learn? I'm completely uncoordinated |
|
and I hated skiing with a violent passion. But snowboarding looks, somehow...enjoyable. And here I am, surrounded by mountains, it seems a shame not to learn how. Is it hard?

18. Well I learned when I was 12 and it came fairly naturally to me. |
|
Maybe because I was young.
Do you have any past experience with surfing or skateboarding? Knowing how to stand on a board is a huge help. (I was already into skateboarding at that point as well, so I was used to standing on a board.)
I've heard some people complain about it being hard, but even if it is, I say it's worth it.

22. The first couple of times, it can be pretty painful because you are |
|
guaranteed to bruise the hell out of yourself. After that, it just keeps getting easier.
Go for it :)

5. It fucking rocks. That's what I used to do with Mike & Billie |
|
all the time at Whistler/Blackcomb. It's the hardest thing to admit I'm going to have to give up.

'Nuff said.
I've snowboarded there. Jumps, though, from my experience are self made, not so much part of the trail.

21. Killington used to have a Boardercross course, I don't know if they |
|
still do or not.
Pretty much every mountain in NE has a snowboard park with jumps and such though if the jumps is the only part you're into.

I don't even care that I would break both arms, my legs, and maybe my head while doing it. I wanna do it! Now!
Daddy, I want a snowboard cross course in our backyard. And, I want it NOW!
