It's dangerously cold out this morning!
The temperature here in midwest Minnesota is currently -19 degrees F with a wind chill of -43!

I think I'm going to start a fire in my fireplace! Brr!!!

1. We've got a cold front moving into Houston.
For the next few days, temperatures will mostly stay in the 40's. And it might rain. No more 70's until Monday!

(Hey, there has to be some payback for our summers.)

Boo hoo. :P

We probably won't reach the 70's here until...mid-August. x(

6. By mid-August we'll be flirting with 100....
The Gulf Breeze keeps us a few degrees cooler than some parts of Texas. But our humidity is famous.

(& those Gulf Breezes can get a bit strong at times.)

10. Minus 16F here in Brainerd this morning. Wind chills going down to -50
tonight. I kept my kids home from school due to the sniffles and the fact that I didn't want to send them out in this.

We've gotten soft up here this winter, yeah?

I remember growing up in Alexandria, 75 below wind chills, 35 below air temps, huge blizzards that would turn day into night.

but now, it's horrible.

13. Yeah -- I kept my son home, because it was so cold, here
he's just in pre-school, so it doesn't really matter. However, because he was home, at 10:59, instead of at pre-school, he fell running up the stairs and now has a big ol' gash on his chin. :(
