THE movie to see this weekend: Eight Below |
|
Edited on Fri Feb-17-06 03:46 PM by Frank Cannon
Don't know if anyone else here has seen this movie (it just opened today) about eight sled dogs marooned in the Antarctic winter, but if you do love dogs, you MUST GO. I will warn you, though: bring plenty of Kleenex. You're in for quite an emotional ride.
I only wish they could nominate animals for Academy Awards. The dog actors in this movie are just unbelievable, better than most popular human actors today. I have never seen animal actors this good, or this well directed.
Anyway, I just had to spout about it. It's great for the whole family (although there are a few scary scenes). It's just very thrilling and uplifting.

I was hoping there would be a good family film to go to. I've seen the ads for this and hoped it was good. :hi:

2. Even Paul Walker is good in this |

He's always seemed like the Ryan Seacrest of acting to me--just sort of a blank, pretty-boy cipher. But he really does a great job in this movie.
