....DUers say yer prayers or send warm vibes to your northern brethren....or let us come stay with you.
....it is already biting, asskicking, mean-spirited cold here.
.....going out is like a kick in the chest.
.....the poor folks, though they love the distinction, in international falls are already at -50 wind chills.
.....it's going to spread all the way down here.

Wisconsin, iowa, illinois, get ready! gonna get nasty.
hope no one gets croaked in this. it's not hard if you're a little drunk and stumbling home, or skidding on ice and winding up stranded in the countryside.

1. Oy, dude....
How do you guys cope with that? I can't imagine how cold that is. I think the coldest I've ever been out in is about -10, and that was awfully :scared:

2. -10 is nothing!
At -10, we still play outside.

I remember many a winter day standing out waiting for the bus, wrapped up in two coats and a hat and gloves, in -10 or lower absolute and -70, even -100, with the windchill.

Ya just go with the flow.

3. Still wimpy
We need a good week of -20 for highs around the Twin Cities (which makes it -30 or so up north) before it is really winter. This is only a brief weekend breeze. It is still shorts weather.

4. That is insane.
It froze once here about 16 years ago and people freaked out. I don't know how people live someplace that freakin' cold.

5. Wanna go for a ride on my scooter?
It's going to be cold in St Louis as well but NOTHING like that. I think it's getting down to 9 degrees. I don't know what the wind chill will be.

I am going to try to scoot to shul tomorrow.
