Sinus headache on top of a Migraine headache. Advil barely touching it.
Any old fashioned remedies any one can suggest?
Feeels like someone is slamming me across the cheekbones with their fists and someone else is pounding with the sledgehammer in back.

1. Hot shower, let it hit the back of your head/neck. |
|
The steam may loosen up the muscles as well as the sinuses.

5. That sounds like a very good idea to try. |
|
Maybe it will help me relax to get some sleep too. The pain was so bad last night, I could barely get any.

I get both problems often and a hot shower always helps ease it up a bit.

6. my chiropractor did an amazing |
|
finger drumming thing on my face for the sinus stuff. Do you have anyone that can try that for you? Very strange, but it really helped. A hot washcloth on your face and good luck on the migraine. I get them rarely. dark and quiet is best (with the washcloth, see how that works?)and of course

but we have a health and wellness center connected to our hospital that has chiropractor's and something they call Reki pots which I saw them advertise in the paper as helping sinus. I don't get the migraines often but when I do they knock me for a loop. I get the aura with them, where I go numb on one side for about ten or fifteen minutes and have my vision blur. I think I will be heading up to bed as soon as I take the dog out for her last walk. I will try the wet wash cloth.
Thank you.

9. Hot ginger compress across you sinus area. |
|
Alternate between hot and ice. Tiger balm around your eye socket to make your eyes water and relieve the pressure.

I haven't tried the alternating between the hot and the cold yet. I am also drinking of cup of hot ginger tea right now and it is helping the sinsus pain a bit already.
I think the wind must have gotten both the sinsus and migrraines going. I had my head covered when I walked the dog before but man it has been wild. We have had 64 mile an hour gusts.

The ginger and the hot shower really did the trick. Especially the hot shower. I relaxed and the hot steam from the shower and from the cup of hot ginger tea helped the sinsus pain ease away as well. I was able to get to sleep and woke up this morning pain free.
Again thank you for the tips, hugs, and comfort. You are all blessings. :grouphug: :yourock:
