I know a bit about Minnesota; my dad was a native Minnesotan (Caledonia) and I lived in that area for a year as a teenager - yes, I remember using the outhouse in Minnesota at 0200 in freaking January. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

13. Yeah, ain't that completely f*cked up? |
|
I swear some people completely forget their winter driving skills once they see a snowflake. It's gotten worse in the last 20 years, IMHO. I don't know if it's because we have a lot of migration nowdays or if people are actually getting forgetful, but it seems to get a little crazier every year.
Caledonia's a nice town. And I feel very sorry for you having to use an outhouse in January. I truly think those of us that live here for any length of time must be partially brain damaged. There's no other explanation.

9. Nothing like the joy of digging your car out of a 7' snow drift |
|
and THEN finding out the engine block is packed with ice...
Been there. Done that. Moved away from it. Still ain't afeared of it.

Was when my godparents' son-in-law got snowed in at our house. He was digging out the next day, and my car was parked behind his in the driveway. He was using the shovel to scrape snow off my car! In the process he put lots of lovely scratches on the paint job.
